The Austrian-Czech documentary film To Be in Relationship with Nature (2020) explores the various ways of living in an ecologically responsible manner and engaging with the cross-border Moravian-Lower Austrian landscapes of Weinviertel, Waldviertel and Central Thayatal (Podyjí). Quotes from Znojmo’s Premonstratensian canon and physicist and theologian Prokop Diviš (1698–1765) enrich the intellectual content of the film.

Philosophical quotes from the film
»After creating sunlight,
Prokop Diviš, Magia naturalis, 1765
the almighty Creator imprinted that light
on the elements and mixtures of elements,
as well as on the soul, that highest, gentlest,
fastest and most penetrating being.
This soul, namely the fire of nature,
is a kind of spirit of all created things,
which brings them to life through birth
and preserves them in their power.«
»The fire of nature is the PRINCIPIUM UNIVERSALE,
Prokop Diviš, Magia naturalis, 1765
and therefore it causes the effect
that is required in sua specie.
When a being has received a body
and organs from the almighty Creator,
the fire of nature becomes a living soul within it,
and this has life-giving effects.«
