Lenka Ovčáčková’s documentaries focus on the history and present day of the German-Czech and Austrian-Czech border regions.
The history of philosophy and science, as well as ecological ethics, play the most important role in her interdisciplinary and holistic scientific research.
At first glance, these two areas of her work seem quite separate, but they are closely intertwined. When producing documentary films, she draws on the results of her interdisciplinary, holistic research. Conversely, the insights and experiences she gains from documentary filmmaking are reflected in her academic publications.
